FAQ:
Am I ready to be in a mentor led group?
This is such an important question! A mentor led group is a safe space for multiple women to share their experiences. Some overwhelming emotions and/or situations need individual attention and would best be discussed in a one-on-one session with a trained professional, such as a therapist. Each participant is asked to have a free consult with Deb before joining a group to share your story and decide if a mentor-led group would be right for you at this time.
Can my mentor help me with my specific situation?
Mentors are not qualified to give you advice or direction concerning your specific situation, but will instead give you validation, love and support, offer what has worked for them, encourage you to seek guidance from God and other professionals, as well as provide education to empower you in deciding what is best for you.
What’s the group format?
Weekly groups are 90 minutes long and consist of three parts:
-
Every woman will be given an opportunity to check-in (2-3 minutes each)
-
The mentor will use the lesson manual that Deb created specifically for mentors to lead lesson discussions on topics like safety, creating boundaries, triggers, self-care, healthy relationships, grief, trust, loving your body, self-compassion, hope, choice and others. These lessons can also be purchased in a workbook format that can be printed out and used individually.
-
Every woman will be given an opportunity to share their takeaway and how they want to move forward in the next week.
